By 2030, one in four Canadians will be over 65. As Canada’s aging population is rapidly growing, UHN is creating a safer, more integrated continuum of care to support older adults at every stage of their health journey. Today, more than 32,000 emergency department visits at UHN each year are made by patients aged 65 and older — underscoring the growing demand for specialized care.
